RCI today announced that RCI Pacific was recognised at the 21st annual Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council (ATHOC) industry awards.

The awards were presented on July 20 at the Gold Coast Arts Centre, where more than 280 industry heavyweights enthusiastically cheered on winners and celebrated yet another successful year for the industry.

RCI Strategic Data Analyst Roland Porst beat out some tough competition to take home the distinguished newcomer of the year award.
Commenting on the win, Charisse Cox, managing director of RCI Pacific, said: “Identifying opportunities for change and implementing processes to improve business efficiency are areas that successful organisations recognise as imperative for growth and continued success. Roland is a shining example of why we invest heavily in staff engagement. We have found that our employees are more productive and forthcoming with innovative suggestions regardless of how long they have worked at RCI.”

Judged at a national level, the ATHOC awards program includes 16 awards that recognise the excellent talent in Australia’s timeshare and holiday ownership industry.

This recognition comes on the heels of another prestigious accolade: RCI Pacific was featured in BRW magazine’s Best Places To Work in Australia’s top 50 list last month.

“In an otherwise tough economic period for the tourism industry, timeshare resorts are running occupancy rates around the 90 percent mark,” added Cox. “As the Pacific arm of RCI, we have proven ourselves to be extremely resilient and our industry continues to contribute significantly to the Australian economy.”
